ABOUT NENAD MAROVAC

Nenad Marovac is Co-Founder of DN Capital. DN Capital is a leading VC and growth investor in Europe and the US. The firm has operations in London, Berlin and Silicon Valley.

Nenad Marovac is a Croatian-born investor and he has more than 25 years of venture capital and private equity investment experience in the technology and media sectors. Nenad concentrates on investments in digital marketplaces, consumer internet, software as a service (SAAS) and also fintech companies. 

Nenad Marovac has backed a number of different companies, including Shazam, which sold to Apple, Auto1, Hometogo and Mister Spex, which are all listed in Frankfurt, and GoStudent.

Auto1, HomeToGo and Mister Spex all went public in 2021, which enabled DN Capital to return more than $500 million to its investors. Meanwhile, the tutoring business GoStudent proved to be another portfolio hit. It reached a $3.5 billion valuation in January 2022. This meant there was a 150x increase from the initial investment that was made by Marovac 18 months earlier.

Nenad Marovac has been featured twice on the Forbes Midas List Europe. He is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurs and innovation and has served as Chairman of Invest Europe from 2018 - 2019. He was previously Chair of the association’s Venture Council 2015-2018 and is an active member of YPO.

He attended Harvard Business School and graduated with an MBA. Prior to attending Harvard Business School, Nenad Marovac studied at San Diego State University, where he earned a distinction in Finance as part of his BSc. in Business Administration.

Nenad Marovac launched the DN Capital Foundation, which is the charity arm of DN Capital. The DN Capital Foundation is focused on supporting the education of talented and underprivileged children. It also provides support for a number of initiatives that are related to mental health.
